Rosie was a bit of a nightmare in the morning of the show, probably because i have not had much time with her recently. In the agility she somehow managed to get all her contacts, crikey! but managed to capitalise on that by getting eliminated on the weaves which she decided that she didnt want to do. In the next round which i believe was power and speed she got eliminated before we had even touched an ob
stacle by running past the dog walk and getting a refusal. Well done Rosie you managed to go beyond the impossible. It didnt matter anyway coos she decided that the contacts were no match for her and just to cap it all off she needed the loo just as we were entering the weaves. After i had cleaned that up i decided we might as well get something out of it and we managed to run the speed part, which was quite tricky and did absolutely brilliantly. Grr cheeky little thing. Next came jumping which Rosie is usually good at .... I was wrong she did the jumps well but it only took thirteen attempts ( i counted) to get her to weave properly. Another ELIMINATION. Thank God lunch was after that, compliments to the chef Louise. After a bacon roll and some raspberries and cream it was the steeplechase and Rosie's only chance to bring something home. I even to make sure Rosie didnt run under the jumps or think of someway to humiliate us ran slow enough so that i could keep an eye on her. HOORAY! she did it and out of about 17 dogs, in which 12 got clear rounds she managed to come 5th, which was extremely pleasing. Im definately gonna have to work on her weaves and contacts for the next show if i want to reach my aim of moving up into the novice classes within the next two Jersey competitions.
